Full-stack software developer based in Austin, Texas with over 9 years of experience specializing in JavaScript, React, and Node.js. I am deeply committed to creating accessible, user-focused solutions, with a strong record of working with agile teams across startups, agencies, and large enterprises.

The first few years of my professional career was spent at web development agencies, contributing to enterprise-level websites. During this time, I oversaw front-end development for high-traffic websites such as FiveThirtyEight. I played a key role in enhancing the performance of FiveThirtyEight by conducting a comprehensive performance audit and implementing significant performance improvements.

Later, I joined WP Engine as a Senior Web Developer. I guided JavaScript standards and processes, mentored other developers, and led the development of numerous new website features. I played a central role in increasing sales to enterprise customers by building a sales demo that contributed to WP Engine's placement in Gartner's Web Content Management recommendations. I also led the implementation of GDPR compliance across WP Engine properties, demonstrating my ability to address complex compliance issues.

At Alley Interactive, I developed new features for a scalable CMS product and contributed to the redesign of client websites like Fortune.com, significantly improving their load times as well as usability for content editors.

Currently I partner with various clients, ranging from venture studios to museums to creators of developer tools. I've helped the Chinese American Museum meet their fundraising goals during the pandemic by developing a Next.js-based online Gala experience. I also assisted the Museum of Contemporary Photography in launching a redesign by migrating a complex database and setting up build and development processes.

Throughout my career, my tech stack has encompassed JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, CSS and a variety of frameworks including React, Next.js, Express.js, and Tailwind. I have deep expertise in tools such as AWS, Webpack, Jest, Figma, NPM, and Git. I am comfortable working with concepts like REST APIs, JSON, GDPR compliance, GraphQL, Accessibility, Testing, Scrum / Agile, and internationalization.

I am also an AWS Certified Developer – Associate, solidifying my proficiency in cloud services. I believe in continuous learning and improvement, always seeking to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
